Only one Stage can be active within a Process at a time. A Task is a labeled grouping of Steps, which can be assigned to a Party attached to the Process. A Step is an Action to be executed, typically mapped to a Service endpoint.

At any time a User can have one or more Process instances active. For example, in the case of retail banking, a macro-level Process could represent the journey of the User as a Customer of the bank. A meso-level Process could each represent an individual Product subscription. And finally, a micro-level Process could represent the onboarding process for one particular Product.
